We recently had a blood drive at our church.  It is so important that we provide blood to those in desperate need of it.  What a miracle that we have the ability to collect blood from healthy individuals and store it and then give it to those in need.  How amazing that God has given us the wisdom to save lives like that.

Thank you, Creator and Sustainer of the universe, that you have given us the skills and knowledge and technologies that we have in this modern medical era.  Thank you for the lives saved, the lives made easier by donated blood.  Thank you for those who are willing to donate of themselves- literally- in this way.  Thank you for your blood poured out for us to bring us eternal life.  Amen.
