Lord of gentleness and patience, you know what is in my
heart. Please help me to take a deep
breath and pause in those times when my answer may be hard or unkind. Please help me to see the other person
through your eyes and learn to love them as you do. Please be gentle with me and help me to be
gentle with the people who challenge my ability to respond lovingly. In the name of Jesus Christ, who loved us all
beyond imagining, Amen.
