Signs are everywhere indicating that school is starting. The beginning of a school year is a reminder of new beginnings. As you experience youngsters riding the school bus, college students walking to class, receive brochures about new classes in your community and churches, thank God for every opportunity to ‘learn’.  Learning is exciting and opens our minds to new understandings and insights.  Let us remember to stretch our minds; learn new ideas, understand cultures, experience new skills or processes. Joining in the experience of learning is never a waste of time for an opportunity to grow in mind and spirit.

“Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.”
